Our Founder
Rahhul Elangovan, a senior at Dublin Jerome High School, founded Canvas for Cancer to honor his cousin Vedant’s love for art after his battle with cancer. Drawing from his Global Scholars experience, Rahhul organizes art events and workshops to raise funds for research and support families, blending creativity and compassion to promote healing.

“Color Columbus” – Canvas Painting Event

This is a 2-hour class for beginners, and the image will already be sketched out on all canvases! No experience is necessary, and all supplies are included with artist instruction. All you have to do is bring a bottle of wine, sit down at your canvas, and prepare yourself for a fun & alternative night out! Our relaxing, mid-century art studio environment is sure to re-energize you at the end of a long work week
Community CREATurEs Collage Workshop

Embark on a creative journey at Community CREATurEs, a FREE workshop series led by artists Charlotte McGraw and AJ Vanderelli! Join us every other Friday to craft your unique collage creature, share your West Side love, and connect with your community. Each creation will be hung up around the West Side, and will actively contribute to building community through art. The workshop is open to the public and for all ages.
